What Are Your Rates For An Event?
Rates vary for events due to many reasons. A wedding for example, if we are the
sound provider for the ceremony and providing sound outdoor along with indoor,
followed by a reception, that would be more than if we were just doing the
reception. Other variances with weddings could be size of the hall, day of week,
time of day, the time of year, and the number of hours you would want us on site
providing for you as an example. For daytime pool parties as another example,
they can be considerably less because of the amount of sound needed, the time we
are on site, and the planning involved for a pool party is much less than a
wedding. With that said, our average pricing is $695 for a 4 hour
event with dance lighting, $595 without dance lighting.

equipment. Whether your event is scheduled at the largest venue in town or is an
intimate gathering, rest assured you will have the sound to make your guests

Yes! We maintain a back-up entertainer for each event and equipment in case of

Who Controls the Volume?
You do! You would be amazed at how many entertainers believe more is better.
Some entertainers crank the volume up because they don't have the greatest sound
equipment, and sheer volume helps to cover up their fuzzy sound. With us, you
control the volume according to your desires. A Good Entertainer wants to please
you, not themselves.

Intoxicating Substance at Minimum 12 Hours Before or During ANY Performance!
This policy is strictly enforced within our company. You will notice the
advantages of hiring a sober entertainer.

Yes! Our "Event Planners" are happy to schedule a one-on-one consultation for
clients to ask questions, play music clips, or assist in planning the details of
your event. You are also more than welcome to meet with your DJ prior to your
event to discuss one on one your event and how you would like things to proceed.

How Can I See a Disc Jockey Perform?
KCDJ's Inc attempts to participate in several area bridal shows every year. This is a
client's opportunity to see the equipment and meet with many of the disc
jockeys. Some DJ companies use videotapes to demonstrate their finesse. KCDJ's
Inc has made a decision not to send out such videos. Selective editing can
project Forrest Gump as an articulate announcer and Charlie Brown as a skilled
music mixer. We do allow prospective clients to peek in at an ongoing event (as
long as it is not a "private" event i.e.- weddings, etc.) with
the understanding that they must remain unobtrusive.

Do you have references?

to be put on a reference list are available upon request.

package, in which case set up will occur up to 1 1/2 hours prior to the
start time.
Top
Can We Request Songs or Types of Music Not to
be Played?
Yes! We invite and highly suggest all of our clients to request song selections. We also offer you the
opportunity to direct our entertainers to include or exclude music suggestions
or requests from your guests.
Top
How Will the Disc Jockey Dress for My Event?
We give you the option of attire for your disc jockey. Some events call for
casual attire, some events call for special attire such as theme parties,
however, most events are performed by staff attired in tuxedos. As always there
is never an additional charge regardless of selection.

Will You Advertise at Our Event?
No and Yes. No, we will not place banners or signs across the DJ area, nor will we
announce who we are. We feel that your event is your time to be spotlighted, not
the DJ. Yes, if one of your guests request information, we will give them a
business card to contact the office at a later time.

employees of KCDJ's Inc. We do not book dates that we do not have equipment or a
DJ available.
Top
Do You Own Your Own Equipment
YES! We do not rent or borrow from other companies or providers. We purchase all
of our own state of the art equipment. 90% of our equipment is less than 2 years
old, and we constantly update our equipment with the latest technology.
The exception to this policy of our company is if we have a failure or theft of
equipment we will use the ADJA "DJ In Need"
program to obtain another system if needed and we have no other resource prior
to your show.
