Experience -
Kansas City Disc Jockey's, Inc staff has performed for many events over the years in the Greater Kansas City Area and beyond.  When we hire new DJ's we ask for a minimum of 2 years actual experience in the field of events that they will provide for.  We have entertained parties as small as 20 people to very large venues of over 4000 people.  We bring the right equipment for your venue to ensure we do not "overkill" the crowd or leave them wondering if the music is still playing.

Reliable -
If you book with KCDJ, you will get us at your event.  We have never cancelled a show or not shown up for a show.  We only book with the equipment that we own and with the staff that we have available.  We do not sub-contract to other companies or rent equipment from outside vendors.  You can rest easy that once you have booked your date with KCDJ, your event is covered.

It's Your Event -
While KCDJ's staff will use their professional judgment in situations, it is your event.  We do not go in with a play list of music that we have decided prior to arriving, nor do we assume that every event is the same.  You want your event to be special to what you want and we will strive to do that.  This is why we put our music list online for you to select from, and why we provide questionnaires about your event so that we can make sure that we do what YOU want.  For example, if you tell us we can take song requests from your party, we will take song requests seriously and strive to make sure they are played.

Training -
Even though we require a DJ to be experienced before hire with our company, we still train them to our standards of service.  We want them to know how we want them to provide to you.  They spend one week (approx. 20 hours) in a classroom type setting learning the standards of service for our company, plus they must complete a internship minimum of 4 live events with a trained DJ before being released to their own events.

State of the Art Sound -
KCDJ is always upgrading to the latest in audio solutions to ensure that we have the best equipment on the market for the events that we provide for.  We only use professional grade equipment that gives the best sound possible.

Awesome Lighting -
Again technology is always advancing in lighting just as it is in sound.  KCDJ is always watching the market for the latest in lighting technology to bring the best atmosphere for your guests at your event.  We can provide everything from our basic lighting rig to a concert type setup to make sure that you have exactly the type of lighting that you will want at your event.

Massive Music Library -
Unlike many other companies, we post a good amount of songs that we carry in our standard music list online.  In our database you will find everything from Big Band/Swing all the way through to Today's Top Hits.  While our online database is only a sample of the music that each DJ carries, it covers the most popular music that is requested at events.  Even if we do not have the song that you are looking for posted online, you can choose "Custom Song" on our music library and tell us what you would like to bring.  We guarantee that we will have the music that you select at your event and ready to play as you specify.

Affordable -
While KCDJ is not the cheapest company in KC, we are not the most expensive by any means.  Our average pricing for a 4 hour event is $695.  Our packages are setup to be affordable to you, and can be customized to be exactly what you want at your event.  Even with our "basic" sound and lighting package, it is feature packed and more than enough to make sure you are truly satisfied with great full time professionals handling the entertainment for your event.

Back Up Services -
KCDJ has a policy to never put all of our equipment on the road.  We reserve complete sound and lighting rigs to ensure if there is a failure we have backup equipment that can be delivered immediately to your event.  While it is very rare that failure occurs, when it does we have a very fast response time to make sure your event does not suffer.

Full-Time Staff -
KCDJ is a full time business and is how we make our living.  If we do not provide high quality service to you, we will not eat.  This is a service that we take very seriously and not just something we do on the weekends.  Our staff knows this and respects every client that we have, and will assist in any way they can to make sure that the entertainment portion that we provide for is of the highest quality at all times.
